Why might I need dentures?

What are the different types of dentures?
Dentures can be partial or complete. Partial dentures can be fitted to replace one tooth or a small number of missing teeth. Complete dentures replace a full set of lower or upper teeth (or both) and are tailored to fit your own gums.
How are dentures fitted?
Your dentist will take a mould of your gums, along with a series of measurements to create a snug fit. These measurements are then sent to a dental technician, who will produce your beaumont dentures. This process usually takes several appointments.
How soon can dentures be fitted after the loss or removal of teeth?
Dentures can be fitted immediately after the removal of a tooth or teeth. However, as your gums heal, they may alter in shape and size, meaning your dentures may need refitting or even remaking after a few months. A consultation with your dentist will confirm what is suitable for you and what to expect next.
