Growing up in Worsley, Salford, Joanne was introduced to dental nursing by her sister-in-law.
She pursued her training at Manchester Dental Hospital, where she gained invaluable experience and knowledge and qualifications.
After qualifying, Joanne worked in general practice while raising her family. Upon returning to work after the birth of her twins, she chose to return to the Dental Hospital, eager to apply her skills in a familiar and enriching environment.
It was at the dental hospital that she specialised in Paediatric dentistry gaining her certificate in Conscious sedation. With her further qualifications she gained a promotion as a senior dental nurse of Children’s & Orthodontic departments, in this role, she embraced all aspects of leadership, working to create a positive and supportive environment for both staff and young patients.
With her experience in leadership, she made the decision to transition into practice management, first in the corporate sector and then in an independent dental practice. Passionate about enhancing patient care and team dynamics, ensuring that every aspect of the dental experience is of the highest standard.
